A familiar name tops our list of metro Detroit's largest residential real estate brokerages
Credit: Real Estate One Real Estate One is the largest residential real estate broker in metro Detroit.
Southfield-based Real Estate One Family of Companies maintained its top position on our list of the largest residential real estate brokerages in the Detroit area, posting $5.95 billion in gross sales, up 10% from $5.41 billion in 2023.
The company also leads the list in transactions and licensed brokers, with more than 2,100 licensed brokers and 16,500 residential transactions.
HRC Realty of Lapeer came in second, posting $2.04 billion in gross sales. Birmingham-based KW Domain and KW Metro followed with $1.36 billion in gross sales from just less than 2,800 residential transactions closed in 2024.
Brokerages with significant growth
DOBI Real Estate of Birmingham grew 18.9%, with $443 million in sales in 2024.
Dearborn-based Century 21 Curran & Oberski grew from more than $638 million in 2023 to roughly $758 million in 2024, an 18.8% increase based on rounded figures.
Average sales per office
The Agency Hall & Hunter Realtors of Birmingham reported $471 million in sales from a single office and 107 brokers.
Plymouth-based Keller Williams Professionals posted $650 million from two offices, averaging $325 million per office.
Ownership status
Family-owned firms continue to dominate the list, accounting for 11 of the top 25 brokerages.
Private equity-backed firms are becoming more prominent, including Keller Williams Professionals and Keller Williams Legacy, which reported $650 million and $460.95 million in sales, respectively.
