The former Sears store at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi is getting new uses.
Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. is planning to open a Dick’s House of Sport location there and other users are expected to join the space, which is more than 200,000 square feet.
Other retailers include fast-casual clothing and housewares store Primark and Round 1, a family entertainment center with bowling and arcades.
Dick’s House of Sport — which includes things like athletic simulators — is expected to take north of 100,000 square feet opening next year, while Ireland-based Primark is taking 46,000 square feet and Round 1 is taking 54,000 square feet, according to a press release.
All three of the stores are expected to open next year. The Sears store closed in 2019 amid the parent company’s financial troubles.
A spokesperson for Twelve Oaks said the Sears property is owned by Transformco and deferred comment.
An email was sent to Transformco — the real estate spinoff of Sears — seeking comment.
